The shelter was built in the late '70s and opened in 1980. It's a stone building, and the roof has been rebuilt recently. It is located on a panoramic headland surrounded by some mountain pastures. The range of l'Aroletta behind it gives to it a really wild image, even more stern than what it is in fact. The wooden fountain placed by Ettore, the first manager, catches the attention of many photographers but mainly of the thirsty!
